There are programs that cover doctor visits, dental visits, medication, eye care and glasses, mental health
services and substance abuse. If you are pregnant, we can help you get coverage for pre-natal care. Proof
of citizenship is not required for certain programs.
When kids don't have health insurance their health is often compromised and medical and dental conditions can go
untreated. Often, a delay in receiving care can result in situations that become chronic and require more
care.
Even working families can be eligible, if you meet certain guidelines. For example, in 2007 a family
of four earning up to $4,303 per month ($51,636 per year) would qualify. The cost depends on your family size
and income, and ranged form $4 to a maximum of $15 per child per month.
